Product information "ARK's Flower Chew Necklace"
ARK's Flower Chew Necklace is budding with possibilities!
This fun floral shape is a robust chew necklace for anyone who needs to chew. Each pendant measures about 5cm at the widest part and 2,5cm in thickness - a great option for chewing with your front teeth (for more slender options that reach the back molars, click here). Because this is a more robust shape, it's also a good option for tougher chewers. Use it as a safe alternative to chewing on pencils, shirts, fingers, etc. and to help calm, focus, and self-regulate.
Like all ARK chewelry, it's made in USA and is available in 3 color-coded toughness levels:
  • Standard - This is the softest level, recommended for mild chewers (those who do not chew through anything).
  • XT / Medium Firm - This is the middle level, which we call XT ("Xtra Tough"). It's firmer, but still fairly chewy, recommended for moderate chewers.
  • XXT / Very Firm - This is the toughest level, which we call XXT ("Xtra Xtra Tough"). It still has some “chewability” to it, but it’s fairly rigid / pretty firm. No chew tool is indestructible, but this is usually the longest lasting level for avid chewers.
Please note: because it has a more robust shape, each level of the Flower will feel tougher than the same toughness level in one of our more slender shapes. So for example, if you like the Krypto-Bite® in the middle XT level, you may want to "size down" a toughness level and order the Flower in standard.
  • Medical grade, FDA compliant, NO lead, phthalates, PVC, BPA, or latex.
Caution: This product is not a toy. The clasp and cord are not intended for chewing. Contains small parts that may pose a choking hazard - direct supervision required. Recommended for ages 5 years and up. Although these chew tools are sturdy and durable, no chew tool is indestructible. Wear/tear may be expected given the nature of the intended use. How long they last is typically equal to the amount and intensity of the chewing, as well as other variables (such as jaw strength, stress/anxiety levels, if other sensory strategies are in place, etc.). While for some people a chew tool will last forever, for others with heavy/aggressive oral needs, they may go through it very quickly. Please supervise at all times, regularly inspect the chew, and replace if necessary if the item shows signs of wear and tear.

ARK's proMini
Designed for those smaller mouths, ARK's Oral Motor proMini™ is a smaller version of our favorite Probe. It has a rectangular tip that is bumpy on one side, striated on the other, and smooth along the edges. These textured surfaces provide tactile input, awareness, and sensation. Use as an oral massage brush to stimulate the gums, palate, lips, cheek, and tongue by tapping, stroking, and applying gentle pressure. For individuals with oral sensitivities or aversions, start with the smooth sides, as they provide the least input. Then progress to the striated side, and eventually the bumpy side. You can also dip the proMini in foods for use as a "dipper spoon" in feeding therapy. This is an excellent tactic for beginning spoon-users and to introduce texture to puréed foods.ARK's proMini was specifically designed with safety in mind. The handle is made out of a hard, medical grade plastic. Then the same soft, medical grade material as the Grabber® is molded through and around a loop at the end of the handle so that the tip will NOT fall off. At less than 13cm in length, they’re super lightweight, compact, and portable. Ideal for oral motor exercises, gum massage, and sensory stimulation whether you’re at home, in therapy, or anywhere in between. Made in the USA, medical grade, FDA compliant NO lead, phthalates, PVC, BPA, or latexSold individuallyRecommended for children up to 2.5 years under the guidance of a therapist. For children over 2.5, check out ARK's Probe.Dishwasher-safeCaution: this therapeutic tool should be used under adult supervision at all times.

ARK's Bear Bottle Kit
ARK's Bear Bottle Kit is a fun and friendly way to make drinking easier for beginners and/or children with oral motor difficulties. It's also an excellent way to transition babies straight from bottles to straw drinking - skipping sippy cups altogether! Many speech therapists believe that sippy cups can promote improper tongue positioning and an immature swallowing pattern, while straw drinking can help strengthen the mouth muscles and encourage tongue retraction, cheek tension, lip closure, and proper oral positioning. The Bear Bottle features a unique valve that controls the direction of fluid - liquid flows up into the straw, but does not flow back down. Simply squeeze the bear's belly until fluid reaches the top of the straw and release. Fluid will stay at the top of the straw, thereby decreasing the effort required to drink. Highly recommended for individuals who tend to aspirate or have a weak suck with difficulties generating and maintaining suction.Kit includes: 1 easy-to-squeeze Bear Bottle with a snap-close cap1 Select-Flow Valvestraws - 2 tubing straws1 yellow Lip Blok® (3/4"). These tubing straws are durable alternative to traditional straws, and the Lip Blok prevents kids from biting on the straw or putting it too far into their mouths.Made out of non-toxic, food grade materialsDishwasher-safe Holds 236ml of fluidBottle measures approximately 5cm x 6,3cm x 15,2cmColors may vary Not recommended for carbonated beveragesRecommended for thin liquids (water, milk, juice without pulp, etc).Compatible with most standard 0,63cm diameter straws Lid colors may vary.

ARK's Textured Grabber®
Color & Toughness: yellow, standard
Invented by Debra C. Lowsky, MS, CCC-SLP, ARK's Textured Grabber® is a textured version of the popular Grabber® oral motor chew tool. The innovative P shape design has an easy-to-hold loop, with a long extension for reaching the back molars. It also features 3 different surfaces to chew on: one smooth, one with circular bumps, and one with rectangular bumps. These textures simulate the feel of actual food for realistic non-food chewing practice. They also add extra tactile sensation to the lips, cheeks, gums, and tongue to help desensitize the mouth, decrease oral defensiveness/aversions, and transition individuals with sensory issues from puréed to textured foods. The Grabber® can also be used:As an oral fidget for sensory seekers craving stimulation and proprioceptive inputAs a safe alternative to chewing on hands, knuckles, shirts, pencils, etc.As an alternative to tooth-grinding and/or thumb-sucking To help decrease oral defensiveness and food aversionsTo practice biting/chewing without the risk of chokingTo work on jaw strength and stability and oral motor skillsTo build oral strength, mobility, and controlTo satisfy the urge to chew for individuals who are fed through a g-tubeARK Textured Grabber® comes in 3 color-coded toughness levels:Standard (red or magenta) - These are the softest ones with the most “squishiness” and “give” to them. Recommended for mild chewers and/or beginners practicing biting/chewing skills Medium Firm / XT (lime green or teal) - XT stands for "Xtra Tough," recommended for moderate chewing. These are firmer, but still chewy. Very Firm / XXT (royal blue or forest green) - XXT stands for "Xtra Xtra Tough," recommended for more avid chewing. These are the most firm and provide the most resistance to the jaw. No chew tool is indestructible, but these are very tough.ARK manufactures the Grabber® in the USA! It's medical grade, FDA compliant, and contains NO lead, phthalates, PVC, BPA, or latex. Measures approximately 13cm lengthwise, just under 5cm across the loop, and 1,3cm thick.Caution: This product is not a toy. Recommended for children 3 years and up. Although these chew tools are sturdy and durable, no chew tool is indestructible. Wear/tear may be expected given the nature of the intended use. ARK's Bite Tube Tip (Smooth)
Developed in partnership with Shari Martin, OTR/L, ARK's Bite Tube Tip for the Z-Vibe® is specially designed for targeted, functional biting and chewing practice.  It's much like the Bite-n-Chew Tip XL, only with a hollow center for food. Simply fill the tube with soft foods, such as applesauce, yogurt, stage 1 baby foods, etc. Use the Bite Tube Tip to establish the concept of needing to bite and chew to eat food. It's also an excellent way to incorporate real food as you practice the motor planning of eating skills. The Bite Tube Tip comes in two different versions: smooth (lavender) or textured (blue). For individuals with oral defensiveness, start with the smooth tip and gradually progress to the textured one. For individuals who need more proprioceptive input to the mouth, the textured one provides both tactile input and added resistance. For individuals with a weak bite, start with a hollow Bite Tube Tip and progress to a solid Bite-n-Chew Tip (Bite-n-Chew Tip sold separately). Use any of these tips to improve chewing motion and jaw strength. If desired, you can trim the Bite Tube Tip to a shorter length with a pair of scissors. A wonderful addition to any feeding / oral motor therapy toolbox!Made in the USA, medical grade, FDA compliantNo BPA, PVC, lead, phthalates, or latexMeasures approximately 7,6cm long and just under 1,2cm in diameterThis listing is for the lavender Hard Bite Tube Tip (lavender) - sold individuallyDishwasher-safe To be used with any Z-Vibe® or Z-Grabber® (sold separately)Caution: this therapeutic tool should be used under adult supervision at all times.

ARK's Button Tips
Button Tips: small Set, yellow
ARK's Button Tips are a fun and engaging way to work on lip closure and lip strength - fundamental skills needed for proper speech and feeding development. They're exactly the same as the proButton set, but fashioned into tip attachments for the Z-Vibe® (Z-Vibe® sold separately). Speech therapists have been doing a "button pull" lip closure activity with their clients since the 1970s by tying string through buttons. ARK's Button Tip set offers a safer, professional upgrade of that classic oral motor exercise - no more small parts or thin string to worry about! The Button Tips are sold in a set of 2 yellow tips (the smallest sizes) OR a set of 2 teal ones (the largest sizes). The yellow buttons are 1,26cm and 1,52cm in diameter (labeled 1 and 2, respectively). The teal buttons are 1,78cm and 2cm in diameter (labeled 3 and 4, respectively).Starting with the largest button that comfortably fits in the individual's mouth, place the "button" inside the lips (in front of the teeth). Have the individual close their lips around the button while you pull and do a gentle "tug and pull" motion for resistance. Eventually transition to the smaller diameter buttons as the individual progresses. Working on lip closure can help improve feeding skills, drinking skills, saliva control, speech sound production, and more.Made in the USA, medical grade, FDA compliantNo BPA, PVC, lead, phthalates, or latex Each tip measures about 6,5cm long Each "button" has a different diameter Dishwasher-safeTo be used with any Z-Vibe® or Z-Grabber® (sold separately)Sold in a 2 pack (two yellow or two teal)Patent pendingCaution: this therapeutic tool should be used under adult supervision at all times.

Myo Munchee Junior
Myo Munchee Junior age guide: 4 years - 8 yearsMyo Munchee Junior Inter-Canine width measurement: 30-35mmTransition Ages: consider age in conjunction with the child's inter-canine width measurement to determine the best size Munchee. For example if your child is 6 yrs old but has a inter-canine width measurement of less than 30mm it may be best to start with the Myo Munchee Mini until your child is able to maintain good lip seal, breathing through their nose, chewing correctly and managing their saliva before progressing to the Myo Munchee Junior. The Myo Munchee Junior is the perfect size for children aged 4 years up to 8 years. At age 8 years plus or for younger children with larger jaw structure, it would be recommended to be guided by your health practitioner as to best size and guidelines for use.If there are obvious signs of an unbalanced bite and crooked teeth above the age of 6 years it is best to work with a dental practitioner who has insights into how best to optimise facial growth, function and future development. Please take a look at our Practitioner Listing Page to find someone in your area.Myo Munchee Junior is safe, non- toxic and comfortable, made of medical-grade silicone and comes with a handle that makes it easy and stable for children to use.Munching at this age is a great way to reinforce the importance of good oral habits through the natural action of chewing. At this age it may be apparent that there is weakness in the muscles of the lower third of the face. This may present as issues with the important functions of speaking, eating and breathing. It is essential to have good tone in the lower third of the face to perform these vital functions optimally.Myo Munchee Junior is a great adjunct tool for the following:Oral hygiene - Munchee has been shown in studies (Osaka Dental University) to be as effective as a toothbrush in cleaning the teeth in this age group.Myofunctional therapy tool - excellent adjunct tool for all myofunctional therapy and speech programs looking to improve the oral tone and function.Early interceptive orthodontic tool - to assist with balance and function of the muscles of the lips, face and jaws. Particularly useful for open bites and tongue thrusting. Excellent tool for working with children with Special Needs.Instruction:The Myo Munchee is a chewing device that is simple to use. It can easily be incorporated into family life as part of the daily routine - it is as easy as Ready-Set-Chew. We recommend using Munchee for 10 minutes active chewing during the day. This can be done in small increments during the day to start and once they are comfortable they can do 5 minutes chewing twice per day.NOTE: Consider age in conjunction with inter-canine width measurement to sizing a Munchee, however there are many variables including low tone, underdeveloped or oral sensory issues that mean it may be best to start with the smaller size and progress to the next size as the child becomes more comfortable. If in doubt it is always best to start smaller, have the child enjoy the experience and work your way up to the next size.
