ARK's MEGA Brick Stick® is very similar to ARK's original and popular Brick Stick™ necklace.
What's the difference? This MEGA version is much bigger! Wider. Thicker. Longer.
The classic/original Brick Stick® (sold separately) measures about 6,4cm long, just over 1,6cm wide, and just under 1,2cm thick. The MEGA version sold here measures about 15,2cm long, 1,9cm wide, and 1,5cm thick. The MEGA Brick has almost 4 times the weight/bulk of the original Brick - great for stronger chewers and/or for individuals looking for something larger.
ARK's MEGA Brick Stick® is a handheld chew and does not come on a cord by default, but it does have a hole on one end in case you'd like to add one.
Made in the USA, this chew tool is a safe outlet for anyone who needs to chew, and an effective way to help calm, self-regulate, and focus. It has large bumps on one side and small bumps on the other side for lots of sensory input.
Like all other ARK chews, it comes in 3 color-coded toughness levels:
- Standard - This is the softest level, recommended for mild chewers (those who do not chew through anything).
- XT / Medium Firm - This is the middle level, which we call XT ("Xtra Tough"). It's firmer, but still fairly chewy, recommended for moderate chewers.
- XXT / Very Firm - This is the toughest level, which we call XXT ("Xtra Xtra Tough"). It still has some “chewability” to it, but it’s fairly rigid / pretty firm. No chew tool is indestructible, but this is usually the longest lasting level for avid chewers.

This may vary by brand of thickener, but in general if you're using thickened liquids, "nectar" consistency works fine. "Honey" is a bit harder to suck through the straw, but it does work. ARK's Bite Tube is a hollow chew tool with a different diameter on each end.Use it as a safe alternative for anyone who needs to chew. They can also be used as an oral motor tool to work on jaw strength and stability. The tube-like extension is perfect for individuals who want their chew tool to "collapse" more, whether as a sensory chew and/or in feeding therapy. As an oral motor tool, use it to practice biting/chewing skills without the risk of choking, to build jaw strength and stability, and to exercise the mouth muscles.Put puréed foods inside the tube for functional biting/chewing practice - when the individual bites down, they will be rewarded with a taste of food. The two different diameters allow you to work on varying jaw heights.
