ARK's Baby Grabber® (Textured) is just like the Baby Grabber but with added bumps and nubs for extra sensory input. Each Baby Grabber is designed to calm and soothe infants who are in the early stages of development. At approximately 5-6 months, babies start mouthing and chewing in order to strengthen their mouth muscles and exercise their lips, tongue, and jaw. This oral exploration prepares them to eat solid foods and to make speech sounds later on. The Baby Grabber® provides a safe outlet for babies to develop these skills. It can also assist in self-organization, in the transition from puréed to textured foods, and in soothing sore gums. New and improved! We've combined the smooth and textured Baby Grabber into one single chew: it's smooth on one half and textured on the other half for varying sensory input and tactile stimulation to the gums and mouth. ARK's Baby Guitar is a fun and functional way for babies and toddlers to mouth, chew, and sooth sore gums.The charming guitar shape is easy for little hands to hold, with a stem to reach the back molar area. The bumps and ridges on the stem resemble the strings/knobs of a real guitar, while also providing extra sensory input. ARK's Baby Guitar is just like the regular Guitar, only a tad smaller, with a shorter stem for smaller mouths. The baby guitars can also be precooled in the refrigerator. They can also be used as an oral motor tool to work on jaw strength and stability. The tube-like extension is perfect for individuals who want their chew tool to "collapse" more, whether as a sensory chew and/or in feeding therapy. As an oral motor tool, use it to practice biting/chewing skills without the risk of choking, to build jaw strength and stability, and to exercise the mouth muscles.Put puréed foods inside the tube for functional biting/chewing practice - when the individual bites down, they will be rewarded with a taste of food. The two different diameters allow you to work on varying jaw heights. Simply fill the tube with soft foods, such as applesauce, yogurt, stage 1 baby foods, etc. Use the Bite Tube Tip to establish the concept of needing to bite and chew to eat food. It's also an excellent way to incorporate real food as you practice the motor planning of eating skills. The Bite Tube Tip comes in two different versions: smooth (lavender) or textured (blue). For individuals with oral defensiveness, start with the smooth tip and gradually progress to the textured one. For individuals who need more proprioceptive input to the mouth, the textured one provides both tactile input and added resistance.
