In myofunctional therapy, many things can be trained without tools. Sometimes, however, it is faster and easier to perform and guide certain exercises with therapy tools.
Above all, the fun and variety in myofunctional therapy is not neglected.

Duration is a necessary component of speech, as it allows us to continue to vocalize or verbalize on a single exhalation. Duration is a goal we must address when working on improving oral airflow for abdominal grading in each of the air-for-phonation activities described in “Oral Placement Therapy for Speech Clarity and Feeding.”The Duration Tubes activity can provide the prerequisite skills for the Horn Hierarchy, Bubble Hierarchy and Candle Blowing Hierarchy. As you work through the hierarchies, your client will be required to use an increasing duration of airflow.
Provide a visual cue for increasing controlled airflow. Here you can watch a video.Includes 3 Duration Tubes (colors may vary), 3 mouthpieces, 3 plastic balls, 3 puff balls, and TalkTools original instruction bookletWARNING! - CHOKING HAZARD due to small parts - Adult supervision is required at all time!
With the bubble bear blowing is even more fun!And because blowing bubbles can also be a valuable workout, it often makes sense to learn or improve this skill.Which skills are trained:the dosage of force when blowingthe control and direction of the air flowthe mobility of the velum lip rounding and
tongue retractionYou can watch a video here. The bear is available individually or in 2 different sets! You can choose between the classic "Pustefix"(250ml) or the innovative "Scent SationalBubbles". CAUTION: Not suitable for children under 36 months. Choking hazard due to swallowable liquid.
TalkTools’ original Spinner and Toothies is an excellent tool for diagnosing sensory-motor deficits, promoting awareness of the oral cavity, and reducing "fixing." It is commonly used by TalkTools therapists as a sensory activity prior to therapy when clients don’t tolerate tools in their mouth yet. As a diagnostic tool, it can reveal Hypersensitivity, Hyposensitivity and Tactile Defensiveness (among others), conditions that may interfere with oral placement, feeding and speech therapy. As a therapy tool, it can assist in improving responsiveness to sensory information on and within the oral cavity.Diagnostic and therapy tool for the sensory system Includes 1 Spinnner, 20 Toothies and TalkTools original instruction booklet2 AAA Batteries not included

NEUROSCIENCES AND SWALLOWING REHABILITATION: FroggyMouth : an anoetic approachFor decades we treated incorrect tooth position with mechanical treatments. But these treatments can be harmful, expensive, they often relapse.
That is why in recent years, the school of thought of functional treatments has been growing and is continuing to do so. We realised that, oral dysmorphia is, most of the time, caused by oral dysfunctions. By rehabilitating these dysfunctions, we can reduce the length of mechanical treatments, and even avoid them when the patient is treated early enough.
This book presents how, in symbiosis with the progress in neurosciences made by the 2000 Nobel Prize Eric Kandel.Dr Patrick Fellus is a retired Orthodontist who performed pediatric orthodontics for more than 40 years. He is a pioneer in the use of functional treatments in Orthodontics, and after years of practice he realised that swallowing was at the heart of all oro-facial praxis. That is why he worked on the rehabilitation of swallowing and, by experimenting, he found that the lips actually play a crucial role.
In 2012, after years of thinking, he eventually completed the reunion of all his ideas in one device : the FroggyMouth.written in englishHere you can see an introduction video from Dr. Fellus
THE FIRST ANOETIC* SWALLOWING REHABILITATION DEVICEIn just a few weeks, Froggymouth stops atypical swallowing and allows secondary swallowing to take place, encouraging nasal breathing.Froggymouth® supports you or your child in:Shortening the therapy time
Improving the resultsReduction of recurrence or regressionFroggymouth® can be worn with all other orthodontic appliances! How does Froggymouth® work?Froggymouth® should be worn for 15 minutes a day in front of the TV. While the patient is wearing the appliance, this physiological swallowing pattern is automatically trained.
Please follow the following rules carefully:Wear the Froggymouth® once or twice a day for 15 minutes to quickly and effectively achieve a new swallowing pattern. A routine can be helpful here.Wear the Froggymouth® in front of a TV or raised screen. Activities where the head is tilted downward are not effective. The patient's attention should be focused on the screen so that the new swallowing pattern is automatic and as natural as possible. It is normal to produce more saliva while wearing the Froggymouth®, especially in the first few days. After about 10 days, the situation should have improved. Until your next appointment with your therapist, keep observing yourself or your child on the following points:Tongue restNeck and shoulder posture/tensionSleep qualityImportant: Wear the device EVERY day. If the 15 minutes of Froggymouth® wearing had to be interrupted, start again! What size do I need? Find a guide here. Here you can find an introduction video from Dr. Fellus.
Cleaning:
Clean the Froggymouth® with a toothbrush and toothpaste or alcohol-free mouthwash. Let it dry completely and put it back in the box provided. It is the only device that prevents a lip seal from forming, which is an essential element of atypical swallowing. By preventing any form of sucking, it perpetuates functional reeducation and thus the stability of your treatments. Designed by Dr. Fellus at Robert Debré Hospital in Paris, France, this device is manufactured entirely in France, complies with ISO 13485, and is CE and FDA certified. It does not contain latex or phthalates.Due to our dealer agreement with Froggymouth we are only allowed to ship to Austria, Germany and Switzerland. Here is a list with the other European partners.

In order to be well prepared for a frenotomy, it is advantageous if different professional groups work together. Speech therapists, body therapists (physio, osteo, cranio, etc.), physicians, etc. are usually part of a holistic treatment approach. The guidance of the fascial system before and during the procedure, the essential preparation and follow-up through myofunctional therapy as well as the procedure itself by the physician is equally crucial for success. With the help of the Myospots, the tongue resting position can be trained and automated. This is the goal of any myofunctional therapy and should also be trained after a frenotomy.
Progress in myofunctional therapy, fascia therapy or frenotomy can be measured using the measurement tool. The relationship between the different measurement results provides information about the capabilities of the tongue.
This set is ideal for you if you treat patients from the 3rd birthday onwards before and after a frenotomy or if you also want to make the progress of myofunctional therapy (especially tongue mobility) measurable. The instructions for using the tongue tie measuring template can be found here! The set consists of:Myospots Strawberry25 pieces of tongue tie measuring tool (synthetic paper - reusable)

ARK’s proButton™ Set is a fun and engaging way to work on lip closure and lip strength, fundamental skills needed for proper speech and feeding development.Speech therapists have been doing a "button pull" lip closure activity with their clients since the 1970s by tying string through buttons. ARK's proButton set offers a safer, professional upgrade of that classic oral motor exercise - no more small parts or thin string to worry about! Each proButton™ set includes two double-sided handles for a total of four different “button” diameters. The yellow handle has buttons of 1,3cm and 1,5cm in diameter (labeled 1 and 2, respectively). The teal handle has buttons of 1,8cm and 2cm in diameter (labeled 3 and 4, respectively). Starting with the largest button that comfortably fits in the individual's mouth, place the "button" inside the lips (in front of the teeth). Have the individual close their lips around the button while you pull and do a gentle "tug and pull" motion for resistance. Eventually transition to the smaller diameter buttons as the individual progresses.Working on lip closure can help improve feeding skills, drinking skills, saliva control, speech sound production, and moreMedical grade, FDA compliant

ARK’s Jaw Grading Bite Blocks are a great complement to any oral motor tool box. Specially designed to work on jaw grading and stability, each arm has a different thickness to practice various jaw heights:The orange arms are 3mm and 6mm thickThe magenta arms are .7mm and 1cm thick The teal arms are 1,3cm and 1,5cm thick What is jaw grading and stability? Jaw grading is the ability to have controlled movements of the jaw to various jaw heights needed for speech and feeding skills. For example, note the difference in your jaw when saying “eee” vs “ahhh”. Or, imagine biting into a cracker vs a sandwich/burger. Your jaw has to open to different heights to accommodate those different sounds and foods. Jaw stability is the strength, coordination, and endurance needed to do so without the jaw sliding forward and/or sideways. Each Bite Block set comes with instructions including four exercises to help work on these skills. These Bite Blocks are firm for good resistance during jaw exercises, but not 100% rigid to be gentle on the teeth (for softer options to work on chewing skills, see the Grabber and/or Y-Chew). Each arm also has gentle sensory bumps to grip the teeth.medical grade, FDA & CE compliantNo BPA, PVC, lead, phthalates, or latexEach block measures 18,4cm long in total, with each "arm" measuring about 7,4cm long and 1,3cm wide.
