Myo Munchee Tween
Age guidelines: 8-14yrs & adults with narrow jaw structure
Myo Munchee Tween Inter-Canine width measurement: 33-37mm.
Myo Munchee Tween is our latest addition to our chewing range to better accommodate the children from 8 years through to 12 years old or older children and adults with a smaller jaw structure. We have included molar pads for a more comfortable fit, that can be removed if their 12 year old molars haven't come in and a tongue attractor to assist with correct tongue position.
It may also be the most suitable size for an older teenager who has crowding and low oral tone, low tongue posture and/or a history of lip/tongue tie. Transition from Tween to Adult is usually between 12-14 years of age, however please consider age along with the inter-canine width measurement. It is always best to consult with your practitioner on the right size munchee for you based on the outcomes you are working towards.
NOTE: Consider age in conjunction with inter-canine width measurement to sizing a Munchee, however there are many variables including low tone, underdeveloped or oral sensory issues that mean it may be best to start with the smaller size and progress to the next size as the child becomes more comfortable. If in doubt it is always best to start smaller, have the child enjoy the experience and work your way up to the next size.

ARK's Lip Blok® mouthpieces are simple yet effective oral motor tools. They naturally exercise the mouth muscles to discourage tongue-thrusting, promote tongue retraction, and correct overall tongue positioning. They also prevent individuals from biting the straw or putting it too far into their mouths. Simply press them into the top of a straw, and drink. Lip Bloks come in three different lengths – 1,9cm (yellow), 1,3cm (blue), and 0,6cm (turquoise).The magenta and orange colored Lip Blok is flexible and measures 1.9cm.
For the best results, start with the longest length. Once the individual becomes accustomed to that length, switch to the 1,3cm and then finally to the 0,6cm. This hierarchy slowly teaches individuals to put less and less of the straw into their mouths. When only 0,6cm is inside the mouth, fluid is deposited in the front of the mouth where it is easier to manage and less likely to cause coughing or aspiration. With shorter lengths, you also get a better oral motor workout, as the tongue retracts more, the lips seal better, and the cheeks have more tension.
